Khadi And Village Industries Commission !! All About KVIC!!

Introduction :

# Khadi And Village Industries Commission (KVIC) is a statutory body established by an act of Parliament under Khadi and Village Commission Act 1956.

# In 1957.it took over the work of former All India Khadi and Village Industries Board.

# The objective of KVIC is to provide Employment ,producing saleable articles and thus creating self-relaince amongst the poor .

# KVIC works under the Ministry of Micro,Small and Medium Entrepresis.

What KVIC do ???

# For the development of Khadi and other village industries in rural areas,KVIC will plan,Organise,promote and Implement programs in rural areas.

# It helps in building up of reserve for raw material storage.

# It helps in creation of Common service facilities for the processing of raw materials as semi finished goods.

# It also provide marketing facilities for selling of KVIC products.

#KVIC also have the responsibility to promote and encourage in research activities especially is Non-Conventional energy and Electricity with a view to increase its productivity.

# It also provide financial assistance for to individual and institutions for the development and operation of KVIC.

# To ensure genuineness of the products ,it also set standards of quality and take measure to ensure that KVIC products are in conformity with the standards.

Some Schemes Implemented By KVIC :

1.Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme.

2.SFURTI – A scheme of fund for regeneration of traditional Industries.

3.Mission Solar Charkha 

4.The Honey Mission
